Education and training

The international education sector offers a diversity of education experiences in major cities and regional towns across Queensland and the Gold Coast. Our universities and academics are world leaders in a range of fields, including health and medical research, reef science, and tropical health.

As at November 2016 Queensland’s year to date enrolments across higher education, vocational education and training, schools, English Language Intensive Courses for Overseas Students and non-award education and training totalled 110,151, including 22,114 enrolments from China, 12,004 enrolments from India, and 3,148 enrolments from Malaysia.

Opportunities within the sector exist for education agents, education media, education influencers, parents and guardians, and students.
