Melissa Watter

Director, Sequel PR

Melissa Watter (formerly Toomey) is a respected media identity who spent well over a decade in senior roles in metropolitan newspapers, radio and television.

In 2000, Melissa became a founding Director of Sequel PR, a thriving Brisbane-based public relations agency, providing a comprehensive range of communications services for clients across Australia.

Sequel PR also conducts practical workshops and courses in public relations, media training, marketing communications and digital/social media. Melissa has taught some of Australia’s top executives how to manage an interview situation. She holds one-on-one coaching sessions for individuals looking to improve their public speaking performance, speech writing capabilities or Board communication techniques.

A sought-after MC, panel and workshop facilitator, Melissa regularly provides these services to clients at in-house or public events. She also keeps her hand in on radio and television, regularly invited as a panellist or expert communications commentator.
