Embracing 2018

The Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games presents a unique opportunity to promote leading businesses to an international business and media audience resulting in a lasting legacy through perception changes, investment outcomes, export deals and stronger international stakeholder relationships.

The Queensland Government is working with the City of Gold Coast to construct a temporary venue to host high-level business events during Games-time – Commonwealth House. Commonwealth House forms a key component of Trade 2018, the GC2018 Trade and Investment Program.

The Trade and Investment Program has a three phase approach to leverage opportunities before, during and after GC2018. Phase one focuses on an Outbound Program and international activations. Phase two focuses on local industry engagement and targeted inbound missions, providing and an opportunity to showcase local business to a new audience. Phase three takes place during Games-time and includes an exclusive Games-time program and a centralised business hub, Commonwealth House.

The Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games will run from April 4 – 15, 2018. Commonwealth House will open from March 25 to April 15, 2018. Featured programming will occur between April 2 and 6, 2018.
